Should You Choose A Daily, Weekly, Horizontal or Dashboard Layout for The Bible Reading Planner? Take the Quiz.

You know you want to build a stronger Bible reading habit, and you've just learned that The Bible Reading Planner™ is the perfect tool to help you do that, but there are so many planner layouts to choose from. What do you do?

Should you choose a daily or weekly layout? Horizontal or vertical? Dashboard or classic?

We know that choosing a layout can feel like one more decision you don’t have the energy to make. And that’s exactly why I created a short quiz to help you figure out which version of The Bible Reading Planner fits the way you actually live, plan, and read.

Overview of Each Planner Layout

The Bible Reading Planner™ comes in four layout options. Here's a breakdown of each to help you find your best match.

Daily Layout

Ideal for people who need ample space to plan their day and take notes, the daily layout makes it easy to track your daily Bible reading and spiritual disciplines, and to write your observations, reflections, and prayers from your devotional time.

The daily layout is undated and has no set days of the week, so you can use it whenever you want, without the added pressure of filling out the planner on a specific day or date.

Each page includes a date field with a day-of-the-week tracker (M T W T F S S) at the top, followed by a "Spiritual Disciplines Habit Tracker" section with checkboxes and a "Daily Passage" field. Below are three sections: a large lined "Notes" area on the left, and a right column divided into "Priorities" with checkboxes at the top and a lined "Schedule" section below. Pages are bright white with clean black printed lines. The planner rests on a light grey speckled surface.

Horizontal Weekly Layout

The horizontal weekly layout is ideal for people who need ample space to write their plans, take notes, and have a nice visual for the week. The horizontal weekly layout makes it easy to track your spiritual disciplines, log your daily reading, and use the generous lined space to summarize your daily Bible reading, write prayers, and manage each day.

The weekly layout simplifies planning your regular life while giving you plenty of space to engage meaningfully with what you read.

The left page features a "Spiritual Disciplines Habit Tracker" at the top with a checkbox grid spanning M T W T F S S, followed by individual sections for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday — each with a "Daily Passage" field, a checkbox, and lined writing space. The right page mirrors the layout with sections for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The planner rests on a light grey speckled surface.

Horizontal Dashboard Weekly Layout

The horizontal dashboard weekly layout is ideal for you if your weeks are full and you need a way to organize and monitor your priorities and tasks. This layout includes a dashboard side that includes a spiritual disciplines tracker, a to-do section, and an unlabeled lined space that you can use for whatever you want, such as managing your tasks and priorities for the week, writing prayers, jotting things you're grateful for, or noting reflections for your daily Bible reading for the week.

The horizontal dashboard layout provides structure for busy people who need to visualize all their habits, plans, and priorities in a single, organized space.

The left page lists Monday through Friday, each with a "Daily Passage" field, a checkbox, and lined writing space, with Saturday and Sunday sharing a split section at the bottom, each with a "Daily Passage" field. The right page features a "Spiritual Disciplines Habit Tracker" with a checkbox grid at the top, a "To Do" section with two columns of checkboxes in the middle, and a large lined notes area below. The planner rests on a light grey speckled surface.

Vertical Weekly Layout

Ideal for people who prioritize time management or task completion, the vertical weekly layout helps you organize your life. While the vertical weekly layouts do not include the labeled spiritual disciplines tracker, it does include five checkboxes at the bottom of each vertical column to track them or any other priorities for the day. Also, like the other planner layouts, the vertical weekly layouts include a daily bible reading tracker.

The vertical weekly layouts make it easy to time-block your day, slot in your Bible reading, and monitor completion of your tasks without the fuss of other features.

The right page continues with four vertical columns for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the same format. The planner rests on a light grey speckled surface.
